Aaron, Tommy - Autographed Trading Card

Born: February 22, 1937 in Gainesville, GA.
Card Size: 2 1/2" x 3 1/2"

Tommy Aaron won the 1973 Masters after battling Jack Nicklaus, J.C. Snead and Peter Oosterhuis in a rain-delayed Monday final round. As final round play began, Oosterhuis held a three-stroke lead. He would falter on this day, shooting 74 to fall into third place. Nicklaus shot the low round of the day with a sterling 66 but it was not enough, he would finish tied for third with Oosterhuis.

J.C. Snead lost his bid for the jacket with a double-bogey five on the always dangerous par-3 12th. Aaron birdied the first three holes played, then picked another on the par-five eighth, making the turn in 32. Aaron faltered briefly, he bogeyed the 10th and 11th, but got back into the thick of it with a birdie on the 14th. A tap-in birdie on the 15 sealed the win for Aaron, one shot ahead of Snead and 2 ahead of Nicklaus and Oosterhuis.
