Brewer, Gay Autographed 8x10 Photo

Born: March 19, 1932 in Middletown, OH.
Died: Aug. 31, 2007.

After losing the 1966 Masters in a playoff to Jack Nicklaus, Gay Brewer came back to win the 1967 Masters. After three rounds, Brewer found himself tied with the legendary Ben Hogan. The 54 year-old Hogan who was playing in his final Masters, posted an age defying 66 on Saturday to position himself for an improbable Sunday finish; eventually finishing in tenth place.

As Sunday play began, Brewer trailed Bobby Nichols and Julius Boros by two strokes. Brewer caught fire on the back nine with birdies at 13, 14 and 15. He posted a final round 67, enough to beat Nichols by 1-stroke.

In addition to his Masters win, Brewer's career was highlighted by 11 PGA Tour wins; he was also a 2-time Ryder Cup team member.
