John I. McClymont, original 1898 print titled "Fiery".
John Carey was the renowned Musselburgh caddy — known more affectionately as "Fiery" because of his reddish/copper colored complexion . He was the caddy for Willie Park Sr., winner of the first Open Championship (1860) and was a familiar figure at Musselburgh Links for more than fifty years.

British artist John I McClymont (1858 - 1934) was born in Manchester. He exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts, the Royal Scottish Academy and at the Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts before emigrating to Colorado Springs in America circa 1900. McClymont is known for his portraiture and landscapes.
