Jones, Bobby - 11x14 Photo - Grand Slam Merion 1930

On September 27, 1930, Bobby Jones accomplished the seemingly impossible when he defeated Eugene Homans, 8 and 7. He had won all four of the major tournaments in the same year — the British Amateur at St Andrews, the British Open at Hoylake, the U.S. Open at Interlachen and now the U.S. Amateur at Merion. Jones's walk back to the clubhouse was described by New York Times writer William Richardson as "the most triumphant journey that any man ever traveled in sport."

This 11" x 14" black and white historic photograph has a sepia tone and is available unframed or framed in a cherry finish with double matting and a gray parchment background and engraved brass title plate.

Framed outside dimensions are 18" x 22".
