Hartough, Linda - 9th Hole, Winged Foot

Winged Foot Golf Club is a private club with two 18-hole golf courses located in Mamaroneck, New York. The course architect is A. W. Tillinghast, who also designed Baltusrol (Lower), Bethpage Black and many others. Winged Foot Golf Club was founded in 1921, by a consortium consisting mainly of members of The New York Athletic Club. The club gets its name and logo from the NYAC's logo, but the two have never had any direct affiliation.

Renowned American golf landscape artist Linda Hartough presents a breathtaking view of Winged Foot's 9th hole for her 17th painting in the U.S. Open Series. From the tree-lined fairway with heavy rough on either side, Hartough meticulously portrays the difficult approach shot to the 9th green and captures the architectural design of the clubhouse.
