1955 US Open Championship

The 1955 U.S. Open was played at The Olympic Club in San Francisco, CA with Ben Hogan going for his unprecedented 5th U.S. Open championship title. But destiny had other plans. Jack Fleck, a newcomer to the Tour, won an 18-hole playoff by three strokes over his idol, Ben Hogan on Sunday afternoon.

This photo captures Ben Hogan, Sam Snead, Cary Middlecoff and Byron Nelson after a practice round on Thursday. A bold signature from each champion completes this handsome piece.

Golf Links to the Past is proud to guarantee the authenticity of every autograph we sell. We provide appropriate documentation from official licensees who have commissioned private signings, and we employ the services of the two leading independent autograph authenticating companies, James Spence Authentication (JSA) and/or PSA/DNA, to authenticate all other autographs.
