Weir, Mike - Autographed Photo

Born: May 12, 1970 in Bright's Grove, ON Canada

Utilizing pinpoint irons and timely putting, Mike Weir played bogey-free golf in regulation play on Sunday and captured the 2003 Masters in a playoff over Len Mattiace. In regulation on the 18th, Weir made a crucial 7-foot par putt to tie Mattice and force the playoff. Earlier at the same hole, Mattiace missed his par putt for his lone bogey in a final round of 65 that included an eagle at No. 13.

With a bogey on the 10th hole, the first playoff hole, Mike Weir won the tournament. It was the Masters 12th playoff, the sixth in sudden death, and the first since Faldo beat Floyd in 1990. Weir became the first left-handed player to win the Masters and the first Canadian to win one of golf's major tournaments.
