Wall, Art - Autographed Golf Ball

Born: November 25, 1923 in Honesdale, PA.
Died: Oct 31, 2001

The 1959 Masters delivered the type of final-round drama that has become Masters lore. Arnold Palmer was the leader in the clubhouse, posting an early 286 that included a double-bogey at the 12th and a bogey at the 17th. Cary Middlecoff holed an eagle at the 15th and just needed a birdie on any of the final three holes to tie, but it never happened. Art Wall caught fire on the back-nine and carded five birdies on the last six holes to overtake defending Champion Palmer and Middlecoff and become the Masters Champion.

1959 was Art Wall's finest year on the PGA Tour; he won three more times and was named PGA Player of the Year. Art Wall retired with 14 wins on Tour.
