Meticulously hand crafted, this fully playable reproduction is made with softened hide sewn together using waxed thread until a gap is left, through which the case is turned inside out, so that the seams are on the inside. The leather case, still wet, is packed with boiled feathers and the closing stitches are pulled tight. Nature completes the task as the ball dries out, when the case shrinks and the feathers expand to form an acceptable round and very hard golf ball -- truly amazing.
