Jack Nicklaus, hailed as the greatest golfer to ever play the game, made the final appearance of his historic, record setting major championship career on July, 15 2005 at The Old Course in St. Andrews, Scotland. It was there in 1978 that Nicklaus won his third and final Open Championship, and it was there that he bid farewell to championship golf.
To commemorate this historical event, the Royal Bank of Scotland issued a 5-pound note featuring Jack’s image from that ’78 victory. The Golden Bear became the first living person outside the Royal family to appear on actual British currency. In addition, Douglas London has been licensed by the Nicklaus Companies to commemorate his historical farewell and retirement from championship golf with this painting and a limited edition of 78 fine art giclees prints signed and numbered by Jack Nicklaus and Doug London. We are proud to be one of the exclusive few to make these prints available.
Framed Dimensions: 34 x 44 in.
