"Shell’s Wonderful World of Golf was a weekly television series that aired from 1962 through 1970. This video is a golf match between Arnold Palmer, Doug Sanders and Frank Beard, played at PGA National Golf Club in Florida and originally aired on February 15, 1969. Arnold Palmer generated “Armies” of fans in the mid-fifties by representing “every man” on the links. His bold reckless style brought him seven major championships and 61 PGA Tour victories. He represented the U.S. on six Ryder Cup Teams and six World Cup Teams. Doug Sanders backed up his fun-loving, colorful demeanor with a strong game that won him 19 PGA Tour victories including the Canadian Open which he won as an amateur. Frank Beard was yet another Texan to make a mark on the PGA Tour. He won 11 PGA Tour events and played on two Ryder Cup Teams."
