On June 17, 1994 Arnold Palmer completed his final round in a United States Open. Held at Oakmont C.C. in his native state of Pennsylvania, site of his legendary battle with Jack Nicklaus in the 1962 U.S. Open; the hometown crowd embraced their hero on this stage for the last time.
