An early original artwork picturing a Richard-Brazier racing car speeding down the roadway, bespectacled driver and co-driver at the wheel, with racing spectators in the background. The large 16" x 23" French picture is painted in the Montau style, a dreamy sepia-toned watercolor with clouds of white dust being kicked up by the speeding car. The original mount has a label at the lower right: "L'Elininatoire Francais - Une Descente en Vitesse - Voiture Richard-Brazier." Signed by the artist "Guy" and dated 1905 at the lower left.Beautifully framed and matted. |
