Masters Flag Autographed by Tom Watson
In the 1977 Masters, Tom Watson looked Jack Nicklaus in the eye and didn't blink. Watson's final round 67 held off furious charges by both Jack Nicklaus and Tom Kite. Standing on the 17th, Watson holed a 20-foot birdie putt to break a tie with Nicklaus. Nicklaus played the final hole knowing he needed birdie. He made bogey instead and Watson won by 2-strokes.
The 1981 Masters again saw a battle between Watson and Nicklaus, this time the battle was joined by Johnny Miller. In the first year of lightning fast bentgrass greens at Augusta, Watson responded; using his short game mastery to wear the green jacket for a second time. Watson made some great saves down the stretch to beat Nicklaus and Miller by two shots.
This handsomely framed Masters Tournament flag has been signed by Tom Watson and he has also written down the years he won the tournament. A portion of the proceeds from the sale goes to the Bruce Edwards Foundation for ALS Research.Framed Dimensions: 22 1/2" x 26"
